Prof Zexiang Li

Prof. Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Distinguished Visiting Professor King Abdullah University of Science and Technology Prof. Zexiang Li is the founder of Shenzhen InnoX Academy, founder of XbotPark, professor of Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Distinguished Visiting Professor at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Mainly engaged in the research of robotics, motion control, theory of mechanisms and manufacturing science, Li has published more than 200 papers and 4 monographs, and has founded the important academic field of robot motion planning under nonholonomic constraints. He was selected as an IEEE Fellow in 2007, and won IEEE Robotics and Automation Award in 2019. In 2020, he won the title of Innovative & Entrepreneurial Figure and Advanced Model Figure on the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (40 people in Shenzhen in 40 years). Over 49 technology companies have been incubated by his lab at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, over 37 tech companies have been incubated in his educational reform class in Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), and more than 60 tech companies have been incubated at XbotPark. So far, he has fostered 1 listed company and 6 unicorn companies with a valuation of over USD 1 billion.
