Panos A. Panay is the President of The Recording Academy, presenter of the GRAMMY Awards, and an honorary fellow at MIT Connection Science at the MIT Media Lab. At the Recording Academy, he leads the efforts for revenue growth, diversification, and global expansion. Previously, Panos served as Senior VP for Global Strategy & Innovation at Berklee College of Music. He founded Sonicbids, Berklee’s Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship, and co-founded the Open Music Initiative. His book Two Beats Ahead was selected as a Financial Times business book of the month in 2021. At Berklee, Panos led strategic planning, oversaw international campuses, and pioneered new partnerships. Before that, he ran Sonicbids for 13 years, booking over 1 million gigs globally before its 2013 acquisition. His accolades include recognition from Fast Company "Fast 50"; Inc Magazine "Inc 500”; Mass Hi-Tech All Stars; and Boston Globe's Game Changers. Sonicbids and Panos were also profiled in the book "Outsmart" by best-selling author Jim Champy.
