HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, is the Saudi Minister of Sport, and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee. His public service career of began in 2017 when HRH Prince Abdulaziz was appointed as Vice Chair of the General Sports Authority (GSA). He was then promoted to Chairman of the GSA in 2018 before being announced as the Kingdom’s first ever Minister of Sport in 2020. His leadership, of the initially GSA and then Ministry of Sport, holds the ultimate responsibility of delivering the sport pillar of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which entails formulating all strategic initiatives including the National Sports Strategy, Sport sector leadership strategy and all major components that will contribute to job generation and expand non-oil GDP as part of a sustainable sports economy.
