Varun Sheth

Varun Sheth is the Co-Founder and CEO of SE Asia's largest crowdfunding website "Ketto". He has a background in finance & commerce. He was born and brought up in Mumbai; did his schooling in Jamnabai Narsee School and college in Narsee Monjee. Having always been interested in the financial sector, he went on to do a couple of financial programs that included chartered financial analyst (CFA) and financial risk management (FRM). He worked as an interest rate swap trader before starting Ketto.
 He has extensively volunteered in the non-profit space right from his school days. He worked with NGOs such as The Akshara Foundation and Care India and is an alumni of the Dasra Social Impact program. The experience helped him understand the functioning of NGOs better and realize the issues they experience. Varun started Ketto in 2012 and has successfully steered it to great heights in the last few years and continues the success spree with his clear vision and growth strategies. Since inception Ketto has crowdfunded Rs 3000 crores+ from a community of 10 million+ contributors from across 75+ countries. He has also received several awards and recognitions over the years, including being invited as speaker at coveted speaking spots like Harvard Business School, Wharton Business School, TEDx, IAS university, IITs, TISS etc & also been featured in Forbes 30 under 30 and Fortune 40 under 40, Economic Times 40 under 40 among other such recognitions and awards.
