Jonathan Teo

Jonathan Teo is an angel investor in frontier and consumer internet technologies. Between 2014 to 2018 he founded and managed Binary Capital, a 300M early stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco. Previously, Jonathan was Managing Director at General Catalyst and a Principal at Benchmark Capital. He has led early stage investments in Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Toss, Patreon and Bitfury, among others. In 2016, Forbes Magazine named Jonathan to its Midas Brink List. Prior, Jonathan was an early engineering leader at Google, where he oversaw the company’s global datacenter infrastructure expansion and R&D efforts, and served in the Republic of Singapore Air Force. He is a member of the IEEE, holds multiple patents in the area of wireless network security and is currently pursuing his candidature for a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Jonathan is a graduate of Stanford University.
