Dr. Saleh AlHarthi

Dr. Al-Harthi is currently the Chief Business Support Officer (CBSO), and also acting Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Etihad Atheeb Telecom Company (GO Telecom), where he is a key contributor to the effort of transforming “GO Telecom” from a challenging situation to a promising potential in a very short period. He held the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aon Hewitt in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 2014 to 2017 where he established and lead the business. From 2009 to 2013, he was the head of a joint Center of Excellence for Telecom Applications in Riyadh. The center was founded as a joint venture between King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC), and the University of California – San Diego (UCSD). He worked for STC for ten years. During his tenure at STC, he held a number of leadership posts, spanning all functions of business, including: Director of Strategic Planning, General Manager for Enterprise Planning and Performance, both at the Enterprise Business Unit, and General Manager of Leadership Development, Rewards and Performance at the Human Capital Sector. Al-Harthi holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a focus on telecommunication networks, from University of California in San Diego (UCSD). After obtaining his PhD, he worked as a post graduate (post doc) at the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2), affiliated with UCSD in San Diego. In the area of business, he completed a comprehensive Corporate Finance course in the Executive Program of London Business School.
