Sultan moved from public service to the private sector in 2008. He has been the Executive Chairman of the family owned Eirad Group for twelve years as of 2012, he specifically focuses on strategy and developing new opportunities to add to Eirad's portfolio in various industries. He earned an MBA from the London Business School and leads its Saudi Arabia Alumni Association. Highlighting his dedication to ongoing education, he frequently joins executive education programs to keep updating and broadening his knowledge. Sultan is a Kauffman Fellow as well, he contributes to the venture capital eco-system by investing and helping entrepreneurs and start ups navigate through their obstacles to sustain growth, leveraging the knowledge and experience of other Kauffman alumni. Sultan also leads the Saudi Arabian Water Sports & Diving Federation, working to advance maritime participation, sports and activities in Saudi Arabia with an emphasis on sustainability for both sports and the environment. He is contributing to the future of oceans and seas as Chief Activator with the Wave Initiative powered by the Future Investment Initiative (FII) with the goal of Ocean Regeneration within a Human Generation as the chief activation officer. He also serves as a board member of the Saudi Olympic Committee and chairs the sustainability committee at the SOC. He is involved with several philanthropic entities, including the Kilana Foundation, which aims to help people with kidney disease and the dialysis treatment required.
