H.E. Abdulsalam Haykal

Minister of Communications and Information Technology in the "Transitional Government" since March 29, 2025, Syrian Arab Republic.Haykal has contributed to the founding and management of leading companies in the software, artificial intelligence, and mobile applications sectors, whose products are distributed worldwide. Haykal also founded Majarra, a pioneer in the field of Arabic content, in collaboration with the best international universities, in addition to Manhom, the largest database of individuals and institutions on the internet.He also co-founded and chaired the Syrian Association of Young Entrepreneurs until 2011, one of the first technical entrepreneurship organizations in the Middle East, and numerous other organizations in the field of youth empowerment.Haykal is a member of several boards, including the UAE Arabic Language Advisory Council, the Board of Trustees of the American University of Beirut, and the Artificial Intelligence and Humanities Advisory Council at New York University Abu Dhabi. Heikal has received awards including the Young Global Leader Award from the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Creativity Award from the Arab Thought Foundation, and the American University Alumni Association Medal.
