Dr. Temidayo Oniosun is a space scientist, entrepreneur, investor, and one of the most respected voices in the global space industry. He is the Founder and Managing Director of Space in Africa, the continent’sleading market intelligence firm in the space and satellite sector, and Founder and Managing Director of Trappist Labs, a research and development company building frontier technologies for Africa.Temidayo has worked closely with several governments, international organizations and multinational corporations on strategic space programs and technology development. He currently serves as a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Africa Center leading their newly established African space program. He is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on SpaceTechnologies and a research affiliate at the MIT Media Lab. He’s also an active angel investor with a portfolio of over 40 African startups, spanning climate, data,fintech, and logistics. Under Trappist Labs, he recently launched Climate in Africa and Miri, two ventures focused on climate data and environmental monitoring. One of their flagship partners is LASEPA (Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency).Temidayo’s impact has been recognized globally. He was named a Karman Fellow in 2020 (the firstAfrican), and in 2021, he made Forbes Africa’s 30 Under 30 list. His insights have been featured on major platforms such as CNN, BBC, CNBC, Al Jazeera, CGTN, Forbes Africa, and Voice of America.He is from Oyo state. Born and raised in Okaka, Oke-Ogun, Oyo State, Temidayo has never forgotten his roots. He remains deeply committed to giving back to the community that shaped him.
