After retiring from JPL as a Technical Fellow following 32 years of service, Leon transitioned into the world of space entrepreneurship—as a founder, investor, and mentor—focused on advancing the next generation of space technologies and ventures. He currently serve as CEO of Mandala Space Ventures, General Partner at the Explorer-1 Venture Fund, and leading the launch of a new fund, Mariner 2. He also serve as Chief Technology Officer and Chairman of the Board at Sophia Space.
