Gabriel Axel Montes
Gabriel is a neuroscientist, entrepreneur, and cognitive science/AI researcher whose cross-cutting multi-disciplinary work centers around Cognitive Security, sitting at the intersection of consciousness, LLM behavior, AI alignment, and global security. He is the Founder at Neural Axis, where he conducts frontier technology R&D for CogSec solutions (including inventing patented neural identity technology), startups, and organizations. Gabriel has led systems that translate cognitive frameworks into deployable AI products, including at AI firms SingularityNET and VERSES. He has guided multimillion dollar budgets and helped ventures raise 8-figures and go from 0-to-1 and scale to over 100 in headcount. He has toured various universities, including Harvard, Utrecht, Aarhus, U. Florida, U. Newcastle, and Hong Kong Polytechnic; has published works on AI cognition, biometrics, and alignment; spoken at venues including the United Nations AI for Good and Stanford; and raised grant funding for R&D across neurotech, VR/AR, robotics, AI governance, blockchain, and cognitive security. Gabriel is a co-founder of and advisor to AI startups, and a Board Member of the ASI Institute.
