Elisabeth Görgl

Elisabeth “Lizz” Görgl, born in 1981 in Bruck an der Mur, is a former Austrian alpine ski racer and two-time World Champion. Known for her versatility, she achieved a total of 42 World Cup podium finishes, winning gold in all disciplines. Görgl celebrated her greatest triumph at the 2011 World Ski Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where she won gold medals in both the Super-G and the downhill. Beyond her active career, she was known for her impressive athleticism and tireless dedication, which, along with two further Olympic medals, made her one of the most successful skiers of her generation. After retiring in 2017, the 2011 Sportswoman of the Year has made a name for herself as a singer and speaker, among other things, and won the successful Austrian ORF TV show Dancing Stars in 2019. She is a state-certified athletic trainer and systemic business coach, and most recently, an author. Together with German speaker and mental coach colleague Michael von Kunhardt, she published the book "The Magic of Flow" - How to grow beyond yourself with Campus in autumn 2025.
