Dr. Fouad Bousetouane

Dr. Fouad Bousetouane is an award-winning AI expert, author and innovator, and the founder of ProofAgent.ai — the first platform for end-to-end AI agent evaluation and governance. He is an Adjunct Professor of AI and Agentic Systems at the University of Chicago, holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, and was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.He has led AI initiatives globally at Fortune 500 companies in the United States, including United Airlines and Grainger, and has collaborated on projects with AWS, Google and NVIDIA. He holds more than 50 patents and trade secrets in advanced AI systems, and is the developer of ProofAgent Harness — the first open-source platform for AI agent evaluation and assurance.Dr. Bousetouane has received multiple prestigious distinctions for this work. He was named among the Top 30 AI Scientists by MIT Technology Review, honored with the Timmy Award for Best Tech Manager in Chicago, recognized by Marquis Emerging Leaders in the United States, and named part of one of Fortune’s America’s Most Innovative Teams. He has also served on the other side of the table, sitting on the evaluation panel as a judge for the AWS Generative AI Awards.He is a champion of responsible AI, and of the idea that an agent should earn its authority rather than be granted it.
