Mohy Aboualam is the Co-Founder and CEO of TheDar.AI, the Saudi-Egyptian AI startup building dima. dima is an Arabic-First AI Copilot for media monitoring, social listening, and brand intelligence used by agencies and enterprises across the GCC and MENA. dima tracks and analyzes traditional and social media in Arabic and other languages, helping PR, marketing, and brand teams gain real-time insights, benchmark performance, and detect trends or crises with high regional accuracy. Mohy co-founded TheDar.AI in Egypt in 2021 and led its expansion into multiple markets, relocating the company’s headquarters in 2025 to Riyadh’s The Garage – KACST, a key innovation hub in Saudi Arabia, while maintaining a presence in Cairo.He holds a Bachelor and Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London, where he built a strong foundation in AI, data systems, and analytical problem-solving. He began his career in the UK in a technology consulting firm called Mott McDonald as part of the Highways Division, gaining experience in strategy, digital transformation, and delivering complex technology solutions in the transport industry, an experience that later shaped his entrepreneurial journey with TheDar.AI
