Sara Oulddaddah
A Saudi illustrator, producer, manga author, and creative consultant, she is passionate about storytelling and sharing Saudi history, culture, and fantasy with the world through art.She made history as the first Saudi awarded in the International Silent Manga Award Audition in Tokyo, Japan (2015), and the first Saudi to be a member of the manga Masterclass held by manga legends Tsukasa Hojo and Tetsuo Hara in Tokyo, Japan (2016). She was also the first Saudi artist to showcase her work at the Kumamoto International Manga Festival (2017). Earlier in her career, she won 2nd place at the Sony PlayStation game development competition (2012).Her professional experience spans art direction, character design, and production management, including work on the Journey movie (2021) and the Asateer Future Folktales series (2020–2024). She has also contributed to production and creative management of animated projects in collaboration with Toei Animation and several other prominent studios in Japan and around the world.Currently, she leads the creative direction across all Droowbs animation, video game, and comic projects, with a focus on creative talent development and the long-term growth of the creative content production ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. She is an active member of many communities, including GCON, the first female community of game developers, gamers, artists, and writers in the Middle East.
