Rakan Al Eidi is the Founder and CEO of Chaizer, a Saudi portable-energy company operating a network of self-service kiosks that let users borrow, swap and return power banks via a mobile app, alongside a direct-to-consumer charger sales and subscription business. Launched out of Riyadh, Chaizer has deployed more than 1,000 machines across 17 Saudi cities and holds partnerships spanning Riyadh Airports, Saudi Aramco, SDAIA, the Ministry of Culture, Riyadh Season and Riyadh Park, and has begun moving into electric vehicle charging. He is a well-known figure in the Saudi startup ecosystem, having served as the founding Managing Director of Endeavor Saudi Arabia from 2012 to 2016, a venture partner at 500 Global, a board member of the angel network Oqal, and an adviser to the Prince Mohammad Bin Salman College of Business and Entrepreneurship. Earlier he worked as an industrial engineer at Saudi Aramco and at KAUST, and co-founded the Cown co-working space in 2017, within which Chaizer was first incubated.
