Josh Roy

Josh Roy is a deeptech entrepreneur and researcher building infrastructure at the intersection of gene editing and AI. He is the Founder of GeneGuard AI - a U.S.-developed platform to control vector-borne threats and defend global food systems. A recipient of the U.S. O-1A Visa for Individuals with Extraordinary Ability and Global Entrepreneurs Award, the platform includes collaborations with global stakeholders with fields of application across malaria, dengue, zika, cassava mosaic disease, and banana bunchy top virus. His mission is service at scale - saving nearly the 1/8th of the planet globally affected either directly by diseases or indirectly through global warming, food insecurity, and economic loss, caused by human pathogens and vector-borne diseases/crop viruses.
