Meagan Crawford
Dame Meagan Murphy Crawford, MBA is a partner at Ramsey Financial Group and an expert in finance and entrepreneurship. Her specific focus is on building the capital stack for the private space industry through investments in and significant contributions to venture capital, private credit, spaceport-adjacent real estate development, and the structuring of new space data and insurance products. She is a co-founder of SpaceFund where she architected two top-performing venture funds delivering best-in-class returns. Meagan is a frequent speaker and writer on the development of the space industry.Through Ramsey Financial Group, Meagan is also an active investor in a wide range of projects, including real estate development, infrastructure projects, clean energy, agriculture technology, mining, and life sciences. She also frequently acts as fractional CFO or takes active executive roles in her portfolio companies. Meagan is also a member of the Board of Directors or a Board Advisor for more than 15 organizations, in the for-profit and non-profit realms.Meagan was a cofounder of the NewSpace Business Plan Competition (NSBPC) and its parent non-profit, the Center for Space Commerce and Finance. The NSBPC is the world’s longest-running space business plan competition and has launched hundreds of startups and catalyzed an entire industry. Formerly, she was a Technology Transfer Specialist at NASA, a professor of Executive Communication at the University of Houston, a management consultant in the oil and gas industry, and earned her Series 6 and 63 licenses as a financial advisor. Meagan holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance from Rice University as well as a BBA in Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Logistics from the University of Houston.
