Matteo Cascinari

Manager, entrepreneur, and investor, Matteo spent the first part of his professional career in media/entertainment companies with a strong focus on internet/digital/technology sectors.He has worked in national and multinational, listed and unlisted, small and large companies,with the most significant experiences at Il Sole 24 Ore and The Walt Disney Company. He has been dealing with innovation for 35 years and the start-up ecosystem for 25 years, as an entrepreneur himself, as an indirect investor through various funds, and as a direct investor in both Italian and foreign startups, scaleups and SME’s.He took part also in some private equity deals like Dental Pro where he was Board member until the first partial exit transaction. He is part of the faculty of the Master AIFO (Italian Association of Family Offices) on issues related to startup and Venture Capital, and he has performed pro bono mentorship for several Italian and foreign acceleration programs (Endeavor, B-Heroes, HExMA, Techstars).Since 2020, Matteo has been Key Manager of Primo Space 1, the first VC fund in continental Europe to focus solely on space tech and the first vintage of the same strategy of Primo Space 2, building a portfolio of 19 companies in the space economy sector active in both thedownstream and upstream segments.
