Massimiliano Ladovaz
Massimiliano Ladovaz is a veteran aerospace and satellite executive with more than 25 years of international leadership across the space, telecommunications, and technology sectors. He has held senior positions including Chief Technology Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Board Director, leading some of the industry's most ambitious satellite programs.As COO of Eutelsat / OneWeb Group, he oversaw the global deployment and operations of its Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation. From 2019 to 2023, he served as CTO of OneWeb, directing the design, launch, and manufacturing of over 650 satellites and playing a pivotal role in establishing the Airbus–OneWeb joint venture for high-volume satellite production.Recognized for combining deep technical expertise with strategic execution, Ladovaz has helped secure more than $4 billion in capital and forged major partnerships with Airbus, SpaceX, and Hughes. Earlier in his career, he led the $1.6 billion Global Xpress space-segment program at Inmarsat and contributed to landmark missions at the European Space Agency, including Mars Express.He has led global teams across Europe, North America, and Asia, guiding operations through complex geopolitical environments. Ladovaz holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Università La Sapienza in Rome and has served on the board of OneWeb Satellites. He is a recipient of the ITP Award and SSPI UK Personality of the Year, and a member of France's Académie de l'Air et de l'Espace.Ladovaz was named a 2026 Aerospace & Defense Visionary by the LA Times, recognizing his leadership in the sector.
