Heba Ali

Ex Managing Director of Egypt Ventures. Ms. Ali has over a decade of experience leading innovative organizations that develop and foster startups and ecosystems across multiple sectors, as well as extensive expertise in strengthening the role of entrepreneurship as a socio-economic development catalyst. She particularly focuses on high-impact entrepreneurship, venture capital investment, business model and institutional innovation, and ecosystem development. Prior to joining Egypt Ventures, Ms. Ali served as Partner at Endure Capital, and was also Senior Entrepreneurship Advisor at Mercy Corps, where she led the tech team and managed all projects under the Tech Ecosystem Catalyst Program. Before that, Ms. Ali resided in the United Kingdom and served as a consultant on business model innovation with IBM and on inclusive businesses for GIZ’s private sector development program. Ms. Ali formerly held the position of Entrepreneur Selection and Growth Manager at Endeavor Egypt, and served as Network Hub Manager for the Egyptian component of the MENA Businesswomen’s Network, AWTAD. Ms. Ali is a Co-Founder of T20 Association, serves on the board of AYB for Sustainable Development, and is a member of the AmCham’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Committee. She has a Master’s Degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Bachelor’s Degree from the German University in Cairo.
