H.E. Savannah Maziya

Honourable Senator Savannah Maziya is the Minister of Information, Communications and Technology of the Kingdom of Eswatini and Executive Chairperson of Bunengi Investment Group. Appointed by His Majesty King Mswati III in November 2023, she brings over 30 years of leadership experience across business, public service, and technology advocacy.As Minister, she has championed Eswatini's digital transformation agenda, including the Government in Your Hand platform, which has delivered 15 digital public services nationwide, and a digital skills programme targeting 300,000 Emaswati in coding, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. She is also the founder of the STEM Future Pioneers Mentorship Programme and serves as the national champion of the African Girls Can Code Initiative.In 2025, she was elected Chairperson of the Global Council on SDG 5: Gender Equality at the World Governments Summit in Dubai. Her leadership has earned numerous international accolades, including the Visionary Leadership in Transforming ICT and STEM Education Award, the Predecessors Awards Africa Leadership Award, the Blue Sheroes Award, and the International Women's Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) Award.A highly respected corporate leader, she has served on the boards of Rand Water, Standard Bank, and WBHO, and became the first African member of the Committee of 200 (C200), a prestigious global network of leading women business executives whose companies generate over US$1.4 trillion in combined annual revenue. She has also served on the Women's Business Council.Hon. Maziya holds an MBA from De Montfort University (UK) and a BA from Bridgewater State University (USA). Recognised as one of Africa's most influential women, she is a passionate advocate for the empowerment of women and girls in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
