Faisal Sedrani

Faisal Sedrani is Chief Executive Officer of Exel by Merak, the innovation and acceleration arm of Merak Capital, a CMA-licensed multi-strategy investment firm headquartered in Riyadh. As CEO of Exel, Faisal leads Saudi Arabia's efforts to build scalable, globally connected startup ecosystems, designing and managing innovation programs that help startups enter the Saudi market, transfer knowledge, hire local talent, and contribute to strategic sectors. He is a multi-sector entrepreneur with over a decade of experience across venture capital, sustainability, consulting, and design, and is Co-Founder of Smart Deer, an environmental-technology robotics company, and Founder of Jewelern. He previously served as Vice President of Merak's Innovation Platform and in a senior role at AstroLabs. Faisal holds an MBA in Marketing Intelligence and Big Data from the University of Gloucestershire and a Bachelor of Architecture from King Saud University, and is a certified PMP and Certified Manager.
