Eric Martineau-Fortin
Eric is the Founder, Chairman & CEO of White Star Capital, a global technology investment firm with over $1.5 billion in assets under management. With over 25 years of experience in investment banking and technology investments, he has been actively involved in Series A, B, and early-growth stage investments since 2007.Eric has led or co-led numerous international investments across health, mobility, e-commerce, fintech, digital assets and media sectors. Notable companies Eric has invested in or supported include Elfie, Numan, Petfolks, Flash Coffee, Parsley Health, Ledn, Dott, Freshly, Clark Insurance, Butternutbox, The Guarantors, Drop Loyalty, Dollar Shave Club, Betaworks, Science Media, BrandProject, Summly, and Ludia.Before founding White Star Capital in 2007, Eric was a founding partner of a transatlantic investment banking boutique in the media and technology sectors, now part of the Mediobanca Group. He also has extensive experience in M&A transactions, having worked with Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York and London and ABN AMRO in Paris, London, and Amsterdam.Eric is an active member of YPO across Canada, the UK, France, and Asia. He holds an M.Sc in Finance from ESSEC in France and a B.Com in Finance from HEC Montreal in Canada. Eric completed the Exective OPM Leadership program at Harvard Business School (Class 64) and attended the Advanced Leadership Program at IMD in Lausanne.A dual national of the United Kingdom and Canada, Eric divides his time between Guernsey, Verbier, New York, London and the Middle East.
