Dr. Shaista Hussain is the founder of SAIF CHECK, an AI safety, governance and cybersecurity platform focused on securing AI systems for governments and enterprises. Known as “The Algorithm Doctor,” she brings an unusual multidisciplinary background spanning medicine, machine learning, cybersecurity and research. Originally trained as a medical doctor at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and specialising in pathology, she later moved into machine learning and cybersecurity, with experience and training across organisations including Google, Microsoft, MIT and Stanford. She is also a published scientist and international speaker focused on responsible, explainable and secure AI.
