Dr. Iwona Safi

Dr. Iwona Safi is an accomplished senior strategist, evaluator, and policy analyst with over 20 years of experience delivering results across international development and humanitarian contexts. She is the Founder and CEO of Sustainable Global Impact (SGI), where she leads strategic initiatives at the intersection of socio-economic development, ESG, and impact-driven advisory.Dr. Iwona's career reflects deep expertise in strategy, policy, and performance across global institutions. She has advised international consulting firms, the European Union, United Nations agencies, international financial institutions, and NGOs. She is a vetted expert within the UNDP Global Policy Network and has led the development of major frameworks including the Lebanon Crisis Response Plan and the 3RP Regional Refugees and Resilience Plan. She has also held leadership roles as Director of Programme Development and Quality at Save the Children International, Head of Research and Development at Safadi Foundation, and Programme Director at Lebanese American University. She holds a Doctor of Juridical Science and a Master in Law from the University of Warsaw, along with a Certificate of Excellence in Strategy from Harvard University.
