Alan Schaller

Alan Schaller is a London-based photographer, entrepreneur, and Leica Ambassador whose work has become a defining reference in contemporary black-and-white street photography. His work has been exhibited internationally in more than 30 solo shows and widely published.Alongside his artistic practice, Alan has spent over a decade building photography communities online. In 2025, he founded Irys, a photography-first platform built to create a more thoughtful and sustainable online space for photographers. Built without advertising or visible follower counts, Irys focuses on high-quality image presentation, meaningful connections, and real-world opportunities for photographers. Through Irys, Alan is working to rethink how creative communities exist online and build a healthier ecosystem for photography.
