Ahmed Alfadhel

Dr. Ahmed Alfadhel is an innovation enabler, technology commercialization professional, and deep-tech venture builder based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. His work centers on de-risking early-stage deep-tech investment opportunities, translating advanced research into commercially viable ventures, and strengthening the pathways that connect scientific discovery to market impact. As Executive Director for Innovation and Venture Building at Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV), he leads high-impact venture-building and venture-attraction programs, shaping the deep-tech pipeline from early validation through pilot deployment and investment readiness. He also holds active roles on national innovation-focused steering committees, contributing to the strategic direction of national R&D and commercialization capacity. Alfadhel’s contributions span the entire innovation lifecycle as a researcher, innovator, entrepreneur, and ecosystem enabler. His work has earned international recognition, resulting in numerous global awards, peer-reviewed publications, patents, and the successful spin-out of deep-tech startups. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from KAUST and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology in the US, with specialized expertise in microsystems and nanofabrication.
