Adel Boseli is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and ecosystem builder with 20+ years of experience spanning fintech, impact investing, and startup incubation across MENA, Africa, and the United States. He is the Founder and CEO of Salasel Technologies, a leading Egyptian fintech digitizing supply chain finance and enabling SME financial inclusion. He also serves as Senior Advisor at the MIT Kuo Sharper Center for Prosperity and Entrepreneurship, where he oversees the Center's work across Africa and leads its partnership with the government of Botswana on building a globally competitive, knowledge-based economy.Boseli has founded and co-founded six ventures across 15 years: Shekra (2012), the world's first Shariah-compliant equity crowdfunding platform; Sustaincubator (2014), a business incubator focused on water, renewable energy, and agriculture; VFlock (2018), an angel investment readiness network; ReImagine Group (2018), a US non-profit advancing entrepreneurial ecosystems in emerging markets; and DFin Holding (2021), an Egyptian FRA-regulated venture studio for fintech startups. Earlier in his career, he joined IdealRatings in San Francisco in 2007 — which grew into the global leader in Islamic fund management and index services.As Head of Incubation at Qatar Business Incubation Center (2015-2018), he oversaw 150+ startups that generated $20M+ in combined revenue. He subsequently consulted for Qatar Development Bank on entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup investment, and served as Investor in Residence at MIT Legatum Center in 2020, working on global investment networks and the role of risk capital in emerging markets. Boseli is an Eisenhower Fellow and recipient of the 2017 Ward Wheelock Fellowship — awarded to one individual annually from among a global cohort of distinguished leaders. His work on startup financing has been recognized by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Thomson Reuters, and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, and he has consulted for the World Bank Group on the subject.
