Henry is the co-founder and CEO of Curacel, an AI-powered insurance infrastructure company that helps insurers and partners in emerging markets across Africa increase the reach and functionality of insurance through cloud-based tools and APIs. To date, He has raised $3.5 million from some of the world's best venture capital firms, including YCombinator, Tencent, and Google. The company currently powers over 5000+ healthcare providers, 150+ digital channel partners businesses and enables over 30+ insurers to connect with digital distribution channels and to administer their claims cost effectively across 8 countries in emerging markets (Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, etc.) Prior to founding Curacel, Henry had led Growth (Sales+Product) at 54Gene; as54Gene's first Growth Consultant for Provider Acquisition, Henry led 54Gene’s sales and partnerships efforts in signing Provider Partners. Before 54Gene, Henry served as the Growth Lead for AmplifyPay's MTransfers, an embedded banking interface available on any phone's keyboard. As the Growth lead, He worked closely with the founders to define and execute the sales strategy and. acquisition of top Nigerian banking customers including GTBank, Zenith Bank, Access Bank formerly Diamond Bank, etc. Currently leading a team of 40+ people at Curacel, he is responsible for setting the company's vision and mission, making strategic decisions, and ensuring that the company's sales targets are being met. Henry holds an Engineering degree and a diploma from Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) Africa - a pan-African entrepreneurial training program.
