H.E. Dr. Esam Alwigait

H.E. Dr. Esam Alwagait is the Director of National Information Centre – SDAIA in Saudi Arabia. He has a collective experience of around 20 years in IT. He was previously the CEO of National Digital Transformation Unit in Saudi Arabia, Deputy Minister for Technical Affairs at the ministry of foreign affairs, He worked in the ministry of education as the general supervisor for information technology, He was also the ⁃ Dean of E-Transactions and Communications, also the Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education Deanship at KSU. Alongside those positions he was chairman of the Saudi Computer Society, he was an associate professor at the College of Computer and Information Sciences at King Saud University, and has research interests focused on social media and had several publications on X platform related issues.
