Ben Thompson

Ben is a journalist and news anchor. With a specialism in international business and finance, Ben has reported from around the world. Before returning to the studio in London, he was posted to New York and Washington. Prior to that, Ben was based in the Middle East, reporting from Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Lebanon, Tunisia, Egypt, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and the UAE, covering breaking news and developing stories. In a career spanning almost 20 years, Ben has reported on wars, hurricanes, riots and red carpets. He’s also clocked up a fair few air miles. Ben studied International Business and French at the University of Wales in Cardiff followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism.
