Innovation as a Driver of Growth in the Creative Economy

How can we build an ecosystem where innovation in the creative industries is investable, financeable, and scalable? This session explores how emerging technologies and artificial intelligence are transforming the creative economy by reshaping the way creative work is conceived, produced, and delivered to audiences. It also examines how these technologies are enabling new business models that unlock greater opportunities for growth and investment across the cultural sectors. The discussion further considers what is required to translate technological advancement into sustainable economic value, including fostering an innovation-friendly ecosystem, improving access to financing, investment, and strategic partnerships, and highlighting the role of the Cultural Development Fund in empowering enterprises and creative projects to capitalize on these transformations. Ultimately, the session aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the cultural sector and contribute to the growth of the creative economy.
