Kevin Khanda

Based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Kevin Khanda has served as Uzum Chief Technology Officer since April 2023 and is responsible for building a leading b2b and b2c e-commerce platform in the country. Having been born to an Indian-Russian family, Khanda studied computer science at Innopolis University in Moscow, and has gained diverse experience working as a software engineer and developer in several companies, including SberTech, a subsidiary of Sberbank, the country’s biggest lender, among others. In 2017, Kevin met Linar Khusnullin, an entrepreneur and founder of the KazanExpress Marketplace who invited him to co-create the KazanExpress marketplace as chief technology officer. Since then, in the seven years that Kevin held this role, the marketplace (currently MagnitMarket) has gained over 14,000 merchants to its platform. Later in April 2022 Kevin Khanda joined Uzum Market, Uzum’s digital marketplace as Chief Technology Officer. Uzum Market operates in all regions of Uzbekistan with more than 2 thousand entrepreneurs and companies selling their goods through the platform, and more than 100 points of sales. In his current role of Uzum CTO Kevin designs solutions that provide access to millions of modern financial products and platform for business growth to meet the evolving needs of the nation.
