Bio
Mashael AlObaidan is a trailblazing Saudi Arabian Professional Racer and a true force to be reckoned with in the male-dominated world of motor and electric sports.
She has shattered barriers as the first female rally driver in Saudi Arabia and the first Saudi female driver to be granted a rally license, becoming one of the most powerful advocated for youth empowerment, by inspiring them to pursue their dreams.
Mashael has also made history by becoming the first female lead pilot for the Aoki Racing team at the world’s first E1 championship series by PIF. She is is contributing to put Saudi Arabia as one of the leading countries in water sports. Recently celebrated a triumphant victory in the E1 Jeddah Grand Prix 2025, securing first place and asserting her dominance at the top of the championship.
Mashael’s professional racing career kicked off in 2021 when she first got behind the wheel to compete in the Sharqyah International Rally, where she placed first in the Saudi Toyota Desert Rally Championship.
Since then, she made her first entry into the Dakar Rally in 2021/2022, consecutively entering in 2022/2023 and finishing amongst the top 17.
In 2022, she became among World Champions by winning third in the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Baja’s, visiting some of the toughest terrains in Russia, Italy, Poland, and across Europe & Middle East.
In 2024, Mashael joined forces with Steve Aoki to become the lead pilot for the Aoki Racing Team officially representing Saudi Arabia in the world’s first all-electric boat racing championship “E1, and will continue to compete throughout the different stages to achieve great wonders and motivate future generations to join the hype and excitement of the sport.
Outside of her racing career, Mashael has been a guest speaker on a variety of panels, from the Saudi Olympics International Athletes Forum, The Future Investment Initiative to Formula FIA Girls on Track and more.
Mashael is also an advocate for young Saudi STEM students entering into the motorsport world, believing that no dream is too big to pursue.
