A seasoned leader with over three decades of experience, Taewon Yun is currently the Senior Vice President and Head of Game Strategy at NCSOFT, where he spearheads the development of innovative game development and publishing strategies, aiming to position NCSOFT as a leading global publisher. His illustrious career includes significant contributions to industry-defining games such as Ultima Online, StarCraft, World of Warcraft, Diablo, World of Tanks, and Vainglory. His expertise in live operations, business development, and global partnerships led him to leadership roles at Blizzard Entertainment, Wargaming, and Super Evil Megacorp. At Blizzard, Taewon was instrumental in building the business model, market entry strategy, and live operations infrastructure for World of Warcraft in Korea and China, significantly expanding the game's reach. As the first Managing Director at Wargaming, he established the company's entire Asia Pacific operation, demonstrating his strategic acumen and leadership capabilities. During his tenure as Chief Business Officer at Super Evil Megacorp, he oversaw the product roadmap, corporate strategy, business development, and global partnerships, including the development of Vainglory, a groundbreaking mobile MOBA. Taewon's journey in the gaming world began in 1993 as a game designer working on Land of Dangun, the first commercial Text MUD game in South Korea. His passion for leveraging new technologies to create immersive and engaging gaming experiences remains unwavering.
