Towards a Net Postive Impact (NPI)

From air, to water, to waste – Aramco is applying circular economy principles to reduce impact, restore ecosystems and increase biodiversity. Central to achieving NPI is the Biodiversity Protection Area program. In 2023, we planted approximately 6.5 million mangroves and 1.1 million native trees in the Kingdom. This brought the total number of planted native trees to 4.1 million and 30 million mangrove trees. In addition, Smart water technologies, including leak detection and irrigation systems, save millions of gallons of water yearly while providing invaluable insights into water system assets like pumps and pipes. By pinpointing trouble spots, it prevents infrastructure damage and minimizes water service disruptions to homes and businesses.
